Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a group of traditional Eastern medicine techniques that aim to improve the flow of qi — or energy — in your body. Each technique relies on the meridian theory that your body has a series of meridians to connect every part of your body including your organs, joints, muscles, blood vessels, and skin.

Cupping

Nabi practitioners uses glass and plastic cups that suction onto your skin and create a vacuum to pull blood to the surface of your skin to relieve pain and discomfort.

Acupressure

Acupressure sessions involve the application of finger pressure to specific acupuncture points on your body.

Gua sha (scraping)

Gua sha, pronounced “gwa shah,” involves the use of small handheld tools to carefully scrape the surface of your skin. Nabi practitioners applies gentle pressure when performing gua sha to increase blood flow and relax tense muscles.

Tui na

Tui na, pronounced “twee naw,” means “pinching and pulling” in Chinese. Nabi practitioner uses his hands to apply pressure and stretching movements to your skin to relieve muscle tension.

Qi gong

Qi gong is a mind-body practice that involves breath work and a series of specific movements to calm the mind and relax the body. It’s similar to yoga and can be practiced while you’re standing or seated.

Based on your symptoms and diagnosis, Nabi develops a treatment plan incorporating Asian meridian therapies to help balance your meridians and allow energy to flow freely throughout your body.
